Great example of using Twitter to build business/personal contacts

Hi {!name},

Been quite a while since the last time I posted anything
on my blog (which automatically gets posted to my
newsletter list as well), thought it was time to update yall
on the progress
I've made over the last few months...

There are a LOT of new features added to the eMarketing
Exchange Social Networking
Forums site recently which
you need to have a look at for possibly including in your
daily
routine of internet marketing or socializing. I'll try to fill
you in on the major updates that are
functioning properly
(there's a couple of the updates that function, but the authors'
haven't
made certain features functional for users, only admin,
but they are working to get the mods
updated to do what they
were designed to do for normal users as well as admin)...

The first feature you will see proof of what I've said is the
Twitter Module, it allows you to post
a message on almost
any of the boards here at eMarketing Exchange and then it
posts a short
blurb with a link back to your original message
to Twitter, I've been using it for a couple months
now and the
chart below shows you what it has done for my traffic numbers,
still a couple days
left in the month and we've already broken
the all time high traffic record. We might just be able to hit
my
goal of 500k next month, eeeeeehaaa !!

eMarketing Exchange

The Twitter Module as it is at the moment posts your message
to Twitter under MY Twitter account for all post-based user levels,
but for paid "Charter Members" I can customize it so thatit will
post under YOUR Twitter account name, and I'll have to dig a
little deeper into it but I'm pretty sure you don't need to give me
your Twitter password either, but it's not written in stone yet so...

There are a couple Twitter related modules, so with everything
else that I must keep track of, the exact details of functionality I
have to keep checking back and testing with a guest account to
keep them all straight in my mind. Another module that works in
conjunction with the Twitter module allows me to set up the system
to import RSS feeds into the system (also posted under my
account, but usually with a link back to originator's post), these
messages automagically get posted to Twitter as well, that's why
you see so many new posts by me, made both here on eMarketing
Exchange AND Twitter, most of them are RSS feeds. Mind you, the
chart clearly shows you what "can" happen, but I should tell you that
even though I DO use other traffic building techniques, the only one
in the last couple months that I've actually paid money for is Traffic
Splash (everything else I've done to gather traffic costs zip, zero,
nothing but my time), and this chart covers a lot more than just the
social forums. But you can trust me when I say that the majority of
the traffic numbers shown here are from the social site, and I've
only updated Traffic Splash's back office options (assigned credits
to my banners/ads) ONCE in the last two months. Look into
becoming a Charter Member if you are interested in building some
additional traffic to your site affordably, just go to the "Store" option
on your main menu, or if neither of those two subscription options is
to your liking, go to the "Donations" option and pay a lesser amount
if you'd like to just try it out cheap for a while and see what happens...

Another new feature is the "dating" board, available only to paid
subscribers, or only very
high ranking post-based user levels...

A new "Downloads" section, also available only to paid users or
high ranking post based users...

There's also an Article Module that is pretty cool available free to
registered users, but
you have to reach Jr Member posting level to
post your own articles, or of course, it's
available to paid subscriber's
instantly. As more registered users get the hang of it it'll
catch on and
be more popular, you'll see...

A new "Auction/Buyitnow/BestOffer" system, also post-count based
access,at present,
not PayPal enabled (it's honor based)...

A new message keyword "tagging" system, but at present partially
only "admin user" enabled,
check it out anyway because I spent the
better part of last month "tagging" many of the juicier
messages that
are posted here...

You can log into the system almost any time of the day or night and
see several "guests" logged
in. I'm still a little concerned that you may
not find many actual registered users logged in, may
need to do still
more tweaking of my methods of gathering targeted audiences...
at any rate,
you can check it for yourself in real time by following the
link below, this screen shows you who's
on and what they are looking
at in real time (just use your browser's "refresh" button every couple
of minutes), and it is available to all users, including "guests", by
clicking the link that says
"xx Guests, xx Users" near the bottom of the
"Home" page.

Do you have a PayPal(r) account {!name}, new feature...

Hi {!name},

Well, as most of you know I've been learning
about "Attraction Marketing" for a while now
among my other marketing tasks... thought I
would update you with my progress... it's
going fairly well statistics wise but still very
challenging financially (can't quit my day job
just yet)...

Also, if you've been keeping tabs on me, you
know I've discovered Twitter... it's simply
amazing what you can accomplish using the
right tools like Twitter and traffic exchanges.
However, I've been neglecting a much more
valuable tool, my blog/newsletter... here is a
link to a VERY good article about the topic of
Twittering and blogging...

reasons-you-should-blog-and-not-just-tweet

There have also been several changes to the
social site over the last few months. The most
recent change I'm pretty excited to announce,
a fun way for YOU to monetize your stay here
using PayPal(r)... you set it up in the "Forum
Profile Information" section of your profile on
eMarketing Exchange Social Networking site.
Naturally, if you don't have a PayPal account yet,
you will need to create one first...

I have major changes to make in the coming months...

Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler have my mind
reeling

They have recently collaborated to explain,
in simple to understand terms, a relatively
new method of internet marketing they have
dubbed "Attraction Marketing"...

After listening to the audio version of "The
Attraction Marketing Manifesto" (twice) that
Ann produced, and then watching the follow-up
video where she interviews Mike Klingler, I
am having a flood of psyche changes taking
place, and you can check for yourself but
this method is changing the face of Network
Marketing as we speak...

What makes it so exciting for me personally
is that I have been using certain aspects of
the Attraction Marketing concept for quite
some time without realizing it, intuitively.

If you haven't looked into it yet, the sooner
you do, the sooner you can get that fired
up enthusiasm about your business back.
You'll find links to both the manifesto and
the video in this post on my social network

This will change your whole outlook on Network Marketing {!name}...

Hi {!name},

Noted author Ann Sieg has just released a free
must read .pdf (or listen, there's an audio version too)
called "Attraction Marketing Manifesto", she Twitters
that her one day downloads stat is 11,000+ so far
check it out for yourself...

If you are a multi-tasking nut like me (actually, that term
is over rated, Ultimately, we each can only do one thing
at a time)... get Ann's audio version of the report.

Some thoughts about Traffic Exchanges...

I've been promoting and participating in a number of traffic exchanges over the last 7 = months or so...

I'm discovering that there are certain aspects of using them which the average user either doesn't understand or is unwilling to submit to...

The term "Traffic Exchange" is pretty self explanatory, you surf other websites (usually for "credits") and in exchange the system will direct its other members to your site(s)... maybe... up until about 3 weeks ago I opted to "purchase" the credits necessary to keep the exchanges going instead of surfing for the credits (I'm a very busy man, not a lot of time to spare for surfing), This option is OK for a while, but depending on the price for your credits, can get too expensive to justify, which is where I am at now, I've had to cut advertising expenses WAY back. The point I'm trying to make is that most of the services I've used are great at what they promise, more traffic, but you have the option to surf for your credits or purchase them.

Let me take just a minute and point out something else that the average user doesn't usually understand as well... the actual traffic that is generated to your site is usually in much too much of a hurry to actually stop and have a look at your pitch. It is mainly composed of other marketers that are surfing only to get more credits hoping that you will stop at their site and look at their own pitch, you've only got about 10 seconds to capture their attention and convince them to have a closer look at what your pitch is about...

All in all, I'm very pleased with the result of my efforts in these exchanges:

Time for a small "venting" post... Secrets, hmm?

Secrets? Not on my site, but everyone that has any savvy about marketing on the internet will tell you if you press them hard enough, you're a fool if you pay for "The" latest greatest so called secret that is "guaranteed" to make you money from doing very little work. It simply astounds me to what lengths some of the emails I get from so called millionaires will go to in efforts to get me to part with my money. The only reason their email addresses don't get on my blacklist is because I want to continue to get reminders of how NOT to fashion my own marketing efforts.

National Net Metering Law?

Hi {!name},

President Obama, I understand, is all in favor of legislation to force
the big electric power conglomerates to enact "Net Metering" for consumers
and businesses. Basically, what this will do is give consumers and businesses
"credit" for producing their own power (some states are already doing it). Just
so happens I live in a state where this currently isn't available, Tennessee.

Also just so happens one of my home business ventures deals directly with
this issue. You may decide to unsubscribe from my lists if they get this national law
enacted soon, because I may get carried away posting heavily about the whole subject.
Hopefully you will be intrigued by it all just as I am, and not unsubscribe To learn more
about the business side of the company I am involved with and the very affordable
SOLUTION to the energy crisis, visit this social networking site...

Note about trackbacks on my blog...

This is mainly to help you stop wasting your time and we all know how valuable that is these days. If you post a trackback on my blog that is pharmacy related or porno related, it will be removed immediately. Only takes me a few seconds to remove it, I bet it takes you a lot longer than that to post it?

Citizenre audio file about the company's vision...

I've mentioned it before, but if you actually let the following audio file fill your
attention you may just get what we are trying to accomplish for the world here
at Citizenre...

Once the funding issues are resolved and the company gets moving along nicely
it will be very lucrative, I'm more concerned, truly, with being a part of a project
that will have dramatic GLOBAL impact...

Now is the time to start researching it if you are at all interested, just follow the

You may start seeing site reviews posted on my blog...

Hi {!name},

BTW, that gibberish you see in the greeting is intentional,
if you go back several posts I mentioned that I discovered
how to use email to simultaneously post to the blog and
my newsletter... works pretty good but like anything you
get for free, there are flaws, they need to rewrite the
translator to accommodate Outlook and handle graphics
better...

As for the subject, it seems that someone is interested in
paying me to post site reviews here on my blog, no problem
if they are willing to pay my price. After all the long hours of
work I've put into my various ventures, it never occurred to
me that my command of the English language could be used
so profitably. But as I've tried to make clear to my social site
members, I strive for excellence in my work, if they want to
pay my price I will definitely deliver the goods.

As for my newsletter subscribers, just wanted to warn you about
it, hopefully I'll not bore you death to the point that you unsubscribe.
How about if I put "Site Review" in the subject that way if you aren't
interested you can just delete it?

Momentum is building for a great 2009...

Hi {!name},

Those of you who've come from my social
networking site already know this, For those
of you who are new to my work, I've been
experiencing sudden and rapid growth traffic-
wise over the last few months and I can prove
it readily enough, just browse thru the appropriate
messages on the social site... I've been plastering
them with screen shots (the most recent of which
is shown below) of the statistical software
that covers my rjventure.com domain. However,
thus far my financial status remains at the poverty
level, just like 98% of the rest of you marketers.

Although I am uncertain how much longer I can
hold on financially, my enthusiasm for the various
projects I'm involved with is at an all time high.

eMarketing Exchange Newsletter 200811.01

Hi {!name},

They say, "Time Is Money", not really too sure
that statement is valid in general...

I've been doing online marketing for 3 years
now, and only just started generating some
revenue. I've got a ways to go yet to actually
make more than I'm spending monthly, but we
are getting there a little at a time.

I haven't been hearing a lot from you, neither
positive or negative feedback about the info
I've been promoting in the different sections
of my system. Just judging from the traffic in
the following pic, and from the trickle of feedback
that has been coming in, I must be on the right
track finally.

If the current trend continues to the end of the
year, the upcoming holiday season should prove
to be exciting for me this year. As you can see
above, December 2007 was a disaster.

I will try to do better with publishing this news-
letter in a more timely fashion. The only excuse
I offer is that up until a few months back, I've
been in the same boat as 90% of online marketers,
barely able to stay motivated and mostly broke
financially. Things are slowly turning in a positive
direction and I would very much like to walk along
with you down this path to success.

 del.icio.us  Stumbleupon  Technorati  Digg

I thrive on challenges folks, the past 3 years have been just that...

Hi {!name},

I think if you consider the chart below carefully,
I can tell you in all honesty tha the sudden increase
in traffic over the last few months is a direct result of
using Jason Lamure's service named MyEasyPromoter.com

Now, thanks to you fine folks and the excellent feedback
I've gotten, I am well on my way to be able to quit this job
I have by year's end. And if you have been following my
progress I've mentioned in several places on my social site
that something new was coming in May. I've become an
Ambit Energy Consultant, click the image below, if you have html
turned on in your email client, if you only have text you need
to get your head together and figure out how to turn it on man !!
Just email me if you need help. If you live in Texas, New York, Illinois,
or Ohio: I sure would like you to take a look-see at what energy
deregulation is all about. It's only going to happen once and it's
going to be mucho bigger than when Ma Bell got de-regulated
AND, energy deregulation is just in the beginning stages. If you do
go to the website and fill out the form, it will immediately send you
to a webpage that explains the whole thing in a series of 4 short videos.

Please Please hold your questions until you've actually watched the videos,
then I'll be glad to help ya with anything you need answered.

Just as a side note, kind of a big ticket item for my budget, but so far
I'm very impressed with the quality of service and support, top notch in my
book.

Well Folks, when it doesn't work, regroup I guess?

As you all observed from the last two
postings I made with this new system I discovered
about using email to post to
my blog, this particular setup has major flaws...

So until it gets fixed by the creators of
the blog software I'm using, I'll have to
intercept each post before it publishes
And make manual adjustments as necessary.

That said, I still like the concept and if
necessary I will switch blog software to something
that works better.

Sorry Man, this dern system is touchy as hell...

Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Message
Sorry = for the=20 previous post with the messed up text, crazy thing doesn't translate = Outlook=20 HTML emails very well...

I have = a fix but=20 that time I wasted too much time and missed correcting it in time before = it=20 actually published, sometimes I have an hour before it does so, that = time I only=20 had about 15 minutes...

Well... that didn't work like I thought, bear with me here, I'll get it right eventually...

Dern thing posts to the blog ok, except haven't
figured out how to make it translate links
correctly, and it's not filtering through to my
AWeber yet either, if yall don't mind a few
emails, I should have the problems corrected
relatively quickly.

 del.icio.us  Stumbleupon  Technorati  Digg

Long time coming, but I am REALLY getting excited about this venture again...

Hi {!name},

Bet you thought the newsletter was pretty much
ca-putt? ... Not hardly, we've finally got a way
for me to handle the newsletter AND the recent
increase in traffic at
http://www.rjventure.com/smf/

I have discovered how to incorporate my blog,
AWeber auto responder, AND email client into a
system where I can just do an email post to my
blog and it automatically broadcasts it to my
newsletter subscribers. This posting is the first
installment of what I hope to be MANY more thought
provoking entries to my blog. Call this a test if
you will, but none the less if everything is set
up properly, it's going to lighten my own workload
considerably.

If the results are favorable... just email me to
show you how to do this if you'd like. And I don't
mind telling you approximately how much I pay to
keep this setup going...

Comcast high speed internet connection (which
includes limited cable TV ) = $70.38/mo
ExtraHosting website hosting account (my blog
hosted free) = $25.95/mo
AWeber auto responder account
= $19.95/mo

------------------

$116.28/mo

And there's a ton of other perks not everyone
realizes... all for about $120.00 a month. It's
been a struggle over the past two years but I've
managed to keep everything up and running PLUS pay
a mortgage and the other normal bills so I don't
want to hear yall complain about shoestring
budgets.

Well, time marches right along without regard to personal preferences, yes? So I am going to have to make time for this because I have discovered, well, "finally realized" is a better term... just how much search engines love blogs !! So you will see more frequent entries here from this point forward.

A lot has happened with eMarketing Exchange Forums over the last month or so... as you can see from the following snippet, traffic overall (because these charts I've been showing off cover the whole eMarketing Exchange domain, this link takes you to the root page) has set a new record!!

according to the website statistical program I use, the following snipet showing a graphical output of a monthly report shows that FINALLY, I've started doing something right and I hope that yall keep the trend going in a positive direction... thanks so much for this confidence booster!

 del.icio.us  Stumbleupon  Technorati  Digg

Well, it's been over a year...

Hi all,

It's been well over a year since I began this eMarketing Exchange venture and I just want to thank those of you who have visited my website/blog/forums. As a lot of you know, it's a real challenge to make money online. As of this writing, I make just enough to stay afloat. Discouraging as that may sound, I want to encourage each of you who read this that as for myself, I have just as much enthusiasm now as when I started out in marketing, never give up hope!

I plan to keep plugging away at this until it takes me to where I want to be financially, no matter if it takes me another year or three. I plan to start putting more effort into it as I've slowed down over the last six months or so. I subscribe to a number of different ezines and newsletters and have been studying much of the content of several of them. Everybody has an answer to your financial woes don't they? Weeding through all the hype and blatant advertising to get good solid advice is a daunting and time consuming task, but absolutely necessary if you want to avoid wasting your money. Don't fall into the trap that seems to get most newbies started down the wrong path, and that is "program jumping". Don't jump on the band wagon of the hype masters so easily, do your homework on these so called gurus. Trust me, many of these folks will stop at nothing to get your hard earned money, stretching the truth so far out whack that it borders on an outright lie.

If you do get into one that is good, please consider sharing that story in my forum, others will be encouraged by it believe me, and you'll boost your credibility in the process! On the flip side, reporting a program that doesn't work so good could save someone else from wasting time with it.

 del.icio.us  Stumbleupon  Technorati  Digg

First things first... (originally posted in the military room of my forums)

This is not just a tip for those in the military, it applies to just about every walk in life these days...

One stumbling block, that I'm very glad I tackled many years ago, is keeping on top of your financial picture. There are some very good financial software packages out there, such as Microsoft Money, Quicken, Peachtree, and others. I use Quicken myself, since way back in the DOS days in fact. If you are seriously considering making a living online, you're wasting your time if you think you can get by without one of these packages or letting someone else take care of the financial side of the venture (unless you trust the other party with your life of course!). These packages may seem a bit intimidating at first, don't let that stand in your way to seeing a clear picture of where you and your venture stand financially. My own experiences with Quicken tell me that these companies hire very good programmers, they try to make basic accounting a breeze by being as intuitive in the look and feel of their product as possible. Trust me, once you understand how to use the package, it's a piece of cake to check things out daily. And especially if your bank supports online banking, you can pay your bills totally online in most cases. I don't have to worry about paper checks, envelopes, addresses, or stamps. I can schedule a payment to made in just a few clicks and the bank takes care of everything. As long as there is money in my account there are no problems.

 del.icio.us  Stumbleupon  Technorati  Digg

Yall need to hear about this....

I've come across an opportunity that I am sure you may be interested in... digital audio books. With the time restraints most of us are under, this is sure to be a market to profit from for many years to come. Check this blog and see if you don't agree: http://www.build-an-empire.com/blog/

Also wanted to take this time to say thanks to all of you for keeping my spirits up that I'm getting through to at least a few who see marketing the same way I do, with a lot of enthusiasm and awe.

Best regards,
Bob

Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, it's my first one so bear with me if I mess around and tweak it as we go. And as you get to know me, you'll soon discover that I am a lot like many of yall, we "know" there is money to be made on the Internet, but getting a piece of the pie is not as easy as a lot of marketers make it sound. But in my case I have an edge on a lot of folks, I've spent the last 20 years or there abouts, working in the traditional high tech corporate world. I am very comfortable with modern technology
